India’s first welded HDPE Boat

Delta 675, the rescue support vessel is the first welded HDPE boat to be designed and built in India. HDPE is a new material to the marine industry which has various advantages over the conventional materials. Some key features of the material is that its lighter than water, durability, endurance and providing a smooth ride on waves. The delta 675 was built in Ultramarine Yachts Pondicherry, India.  The boat reaches a top speed of 27 knots with a 115 HP OBM engine. Most suitable for patrol, coast guard and any emergency response vessel. Some of the special characters of this material will be explained in my upcoming blog.
